Overview
The LAB@Digital Sandbox was founded over a decade ago by Academy Award winning Visual Effects Supervisor Scott E. Anderson. The LAB provides digital services to films of all sizes, with access to the cutting edge technologies and world-class pipeline Anderson utilizes in his VFX career.
The LAB@Digital Sandbox is at the forefront of pioneering technology:
- Early adopters of Scratch Workflow
- First Film delivered to Walden Media using ACES workflow and a mix of film and digital technologies
- First Film using Sony Genesis Camera (Superman Returns)
We have close working relationships with Assimilate, DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic, and pride ourselves on being an industry leader in the ever changing digital landscape. In addition, the Lab provides state of the art Quality Control. We are a bond approved facility and have delivered materials to Sony, Warner Brothers, Fox, Netflix and iTunes.
Digital Sandbox is a collaborative facility, working with both established filmmakers as well as emerging filmmakers. We work with such programs as the Panavision New Filmmakers Program, USC, AFI and Film Independent.
The LAB@DSBX has provided cost effective, cutting edge digital solutions for films with budgets ranging from $100,000 -$200 million.
